FAMILY WORKSHOPS

This workshop offers children the distinctions of touch as communication.  The workshop is experiential and is based on current research on the value of attentive touch for children, from babies to teens, in calming and comforting oneself and others, thinking more clearly, and generating a positive attitude towards oneself and others.  Relationship skills are cultivated, and the participants discover how to create and foster safety, security, predictability, and trust in their experience of life.

Particularly for children up to 12 years of age, attentive touch supports the ability to be comfortable and comforted, and also regulates healthy growth for the physiological, mental, and socio-economic systems. The skills learned enhance bonding, language development, integrated thinking, emotional well-being, self expression, and respectful social relationships.
